This terminal is the furthest one from the city and consists of 2 long quays able to accommodate mega cruise ships (4.500+ passengers). The terminal building is situated across Quay Themistocles and is primarily used for turnarounds (for passengers embarking and disembarking in Piraeus). Because Piraeus is on the waterfront, the cafes and restaurants in the city offer some of the freshest and tastiest seafood in the world.. From the Metro, transfer at Faliro station to the tram line 2 and get off at Zephyros stop. Alimos Beach is the closest to the city (11 km) and the busiest.
Unless your ship docks at the Terminal A, most attractions in the port city of Piraeus are not within walking distance. Cruise passengers traveling with families will not discover many sites or attractions that may interest most children. Cruise travelers with disabilities will find it difficult to explore the memorable highlights of Athens on their own, and a carefully chosen shore excursion is advisable.
